Letter from Gladys Ricketts to Elsie Lilian Burland

May 2nd 1914

My Dear Billy
It was kind of you to remember me - many thanks. The thimble is what I wanted for I hadn't a decent one, am hoping to use it quite a lot at Yeovil.

We all join in thanks for the Turkish Delight - you are famous for that.
I didn't come Taunton way to Yeovil this time, its longer and more expensive, and as I am 'on the save' just now must consider these things. Anyway, I shall hope to see you now and again.

I am going to live with the Vincents of 'The (Casket?)'. I expect your Ma and Pa will know of them. Am taking charge of their two kiddies, the elder is not yet 3 - and the baby is 16 months, just what I most like so am pleased. Am awfully busy so please excuse more now.

Hows Gladys? Give her my special love.

With much love and many thanks
Yours

Gladys
My love to Mr. and Mrs, Burland please, hope both are well.
