Letter from Elsie Lilian Burland to Martha Mildred Louie Ricketts
Lyndale
Richmond Road
Taunton
My dear Mrs Ricketts
Many thanks for letter, I was sorry to hear from Fritz about your trouble and felt that I would gladly do anything that lay in my power to help you, please do not hesitate to let me know if I can be of use to you at any time.
I am glad that you managed to let Gladys go to Wloverhampton and hope she will benefit greatly by the change. I sincerely pray that God;s will be done and everything prove quite satisfactory, and that Gladys will be guided and helped in her decision.
Do you think you could [possibly spare her a little longer so that we may have the pleasure of her company a while after her stay in Wolverhampton.
Fritz and I were so glad to hear you have such a good help, he was awfully worried on Saturday fearing you would be left alone, but much relieved when he heard you had help.
Will you please accept the few raspberries sent this afternoon, they are coming on beautifully in the garden now, this weather is all in their favour.
I do hope you are keeping much better and that you fell your strength renewed.
Please send Gladys my love and we should like to see her again very shortly.
Ma, Dad and Gladys send very kind regards to you all and best love from myself
Yours affectionately
Billy
